I know it is not an aircraft engine, but at 1200 Hp, derated (!!!) to 1000 Hp, the Bugatti Veyron would be a beautiful one. W16, quad turbo and max torque flat between 2200-5000 rpm! |

The stats are incredible:
1030 bhp
fully emissions certified (!)
0-60 mph 2.9 sec
0-100 mph 6 sec
0-150 mph 11 sec
0-200 mph 22 sec
1/4 mile 10.8 sec
governed top speed 253 mph (its got a speed governor!)
From what I've read its nice to drive as well. Got to get one!
Who would have thought that
a) anyone would build a car with this sort of performance
b) VW would be the ones to do it |
