Folks:
This was just posted on an automotive list that I frequent:

Subject: [MB] No MB: Need help ID'ing free radial aircraft engines
There are two radial engines available for free pickup in
Fredericksburg, TX. The owners family used to be crop dusters, I
don't know any more about that part of it.
They are stored indoors out of the elements. One might be a B17
engine. The Jacobs appears partially torn down, but most parts are
with it. I don't know for sure what accessories come with each engine.
No one else has been advised of this offer. Please let me know if you
can ID them or want one or both, and we'll go from there.
Thanks,
Rex Wright

I have no connection, but I'd like to see them go to a good home.

More info:
""This is what the plate says on the "B17" engine:"
Wright Whirlwind 3/6/41
air corps or bureau model
9 cylinder 1-3-5-7-9-2-4-6-8
patterson, n.j. caa special"
Gosh, 24 hours and no reply to an offer of two free engines. I know this forum is quiet, but Geez Louise!
