Are there any pictures of this engine out there? Looking at the way the cowling lines were tightened-up, it looks like this 3350 variant didn't feature the forward-facing exhaust ports on the front row, eliminating the need for the forward collector ring. |

I am no expert on Wright engines but if the Prcusan Dreamboat was powered by the engines named [R-3350-23A] that engine would be a BA
series. BA series engines had their front row cylinder exhaust facing forward. Here is more on the subject from an earlier post.

Thanks! I wondered if the YB-29J featured what, essentially, was the equivalent of the mods that Fifi and Doc have received: swapping the early configured 3350 for a later-configured version. |
