How do I go about checking for a lean running engine. Bendix Stromberg PT13 G1 carb. Idle check is good. On the ground, running at say 1700 RPM, prop in full low pitch, throttle locked, moving the mixture control from auto rich slowly to auto lean, causes a perceptible and even drop in RPM. To me this would indicate a very lean mixture. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Tom. |
