Great photos, but the text isn't quite accurate (isn't it always so.....). In the introduction, they claim the XF-12 as the worlds fastest multi-engined piston aircraft at 460 mph. Without even putting hardly any thought into it, the DeHavilland Hornet (twin Griffon engines) prototype did 485 mph and production versions were rated at 472 mph. There's probably something out there to best the Hornet as well.....

I winced at that statement myself. I wonder if it would have been the fastest 4-engine piston-driven aircraft, though? Or in some later version with a tractor equivalent of an R-4360-53, had it entered production.

The same poster also has what I believe is some raw footage with sound of the Bristol Brabazon. On the ground as well as in the air.

Kip, the dH Hornet had two Merlins, not Griffon´s. Though I agree on the speed.
