It appears that an English language version of the Harry Niemann book,

Karl Maybach: His engines & automobiles

has been published. I’ve haven’t read it, (I can only find it in a specialist US bookstore) but have any of our German members read the German language edition?

I saw the German language edition last year at Motorbooks shop in London, and wished without much hope for an English version....

I'll let you know if I can get a copy. Some Mercedes specialist in the USA seems to be the only retailer online with a copy.

I purchased both versions - English and German, via a German friend a number of years ago. I highly recomend it. It covers cars, tank engines, aircraft engines plus their other industrial endeavors.
