I contacted Mr. Hill, the author of the Tank Aero Engine book, reviewed by Kim, and he had a question that he asked if one of our members could answer.

"While in an Austrailian Air Museum in several years ago, I saw an engine
that was similar to TANK's engine.

An eight cylinder, "V" aircraft type engine. There was no information with
the display. Perhaps you or someone else is familiar with that display and
will have something concerning it.."

Off the top of my head, some V-8s from that era are the

ENV, Antoinette, Wolseley Viper, RAF V-8, Hispano-Suiza, and one or two French ones, Renault V-8, etc. I don't think it would be a Liberty V-8.

So, can anyone help?

Sounds like the Ford engine.
