In about 1977 I was working as an engineer at the Los Angeles Aircraft Division of Rockwell International. The plant was at the corner of Aviation Blvd and Imperial Highway, where the freight ramp is located now at LAX. For some reason I was at the FAA office which was located adjacent to the plant. An FAA gentleman mentioned to me that there was a guy at Torrance who just might be able to get his 2 place helicopter certified. As they say, the rest is history.

I didn?t realize until just now that he was a graduate of my alma mater, the University of Washington |
