Season's Greetings fellow Aircraft Engine Enthusiasts,
I am in the process of creating 3D CAD models of the Curtiss Challenger R-600 engine and Components from the original Curtiss Drawings.
Due to the age and condition of the microfilm, many of the Large sized drawings are faint and illegible. Additionally, Curtiss had a very talented Pattern Maker that worked directly with the designers, so most of the Casting Drawings fail to have all of the features detailed on them. To overcome this limitation, I am looking for help in obtaining detailed photos (clear, full frame, all 6 sides, inside features) of any of the Challenger Castings (i.e., Cylinder Head, Oil Pumps, Oil Sump (especially the RH (#4) Cylinder side), Crankcases and Covers (Inside and outside). To complete this project, I am also looking for a Stromberg NAU-4J Carburetor and Scintilla MN6-D-F3 Magneto to model. Willing to pay reasonable copy/shipping fees.
Also looking for R-600 Technical literature, I have most of the manuals, articles found online. Please let me know what you have.
Thank you for your help and Happy Holidays to all!
