What does the 58 mean in the PR series PR-58 mean for size of throat?

The Bendix/Stromberg carburetor article explains the other series' quite well, but the PR throats are rectangular, not round, and the numbers are about 4 times lager than almost as big round throat units. So, the PR series must use a different designation system.
It would be nice to know what the throat areas are.
Does anyone know how this series designations were arrived at?

Thanks.

The number 58 represents the number of square inches of throat opening. Please see
