R-985
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIMY1-0pgBE
At around :03 or so, what is wrong with what he is saying?
I hope no one follows his advice.
Firing order is 1,3,5,7,9,2,4,6,8
So he needed to say skip the next cylinder.
If the next cylinder in line is set those will be too loose, since its on overlap.
Its been up awhile and no one has caught it?
And what else is wrong with what he is showing?
This is one place that sleeve valves, shine.
On the R-985 I am not sure what procedure to follow to adjust the valve lash.
I do know that on a Wasp Major -59B, that the valve lash can not be set with the piston on top center after firing position. Both intake and exhaust have to be adjusted at different crankshaft angles.
