Smithsonian Series, 118 pages, by Bytteier. I've never seen a copy, but the price is hard to beat.

I think all of the Smithsonian series are being reprinted, according to Amazon.

I read my copy some years ago but I thought it was great. All 10 volumes of the Smithsonian Annals of Flight are available digitally here:

I prefer real books over PDFs but "free" is a good price.
