It is probable that accumulated experience and painstaking development exercise a greater influence on the design and manufacture of carburettors than on any other component of the internal combustion engine. The S.U. Carburettor Co., Ltd. is well served in this respect by its design staff, and is backed by the vast resources of the Nuffield organisation. That the instrument technically conforms to the high standards set by the Rolls-Royce Co. and meets the exacting operational demands of our first-line fighter aircraft is adequate tribute to its design, manufacture and function.
