Omnipol engines were marketed by the Omnipol Foreign Trade Corporation of Prague, Czechoslovakia. In the nationalized Czech aircraft and aircraft engine industry from the 1950s to the 1980s, Omnipol marketed all aviation products. It is not clear to the compiler which division of the nationalized Czechoslovak Automobile and Aircraft Works built the two HOAE described here. The pre-WWII Czech industry had several aircraft engine manufacturers that built engines under their old names after WWII; see, for example, Praga and Walter.
