Needleye Engine Manufacturing of Mojave, California has developed a low-powered four-stroke cycle, two-cylinder HOAE. The engine was displayed at both Sun 'n Fun 2002 at Lakeland, Florida and EAA AirVenture 2002 at Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The engine is reported to contain some small-block Chevrolet engine components, e.g., forged connecting rods, bearings and valve train, as well as some VW components, e.g., fuel and oil pumps.
