Liquid Cooled Air Power, Inc. of Hermosa Beach, California has developed bolt-on kits, including new cylinders, liquid-cooling jackets, and associated instrumentation, for virtually any parallel-valve versions of the Lycoming O-360 and O-540 series engines. The first experimental flight applications of their liquid-cooled IO-360 were in a Rutan LongEZ (by Dick Rutan) on 6/30/01 and in a Piper Cherokee 180 (by Liquid Cooled themselves) on 7/7/01.
