Cicaré engines were built initially for surface vehicle applications by Augusto Cicaré in Saladillo, Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Cicaré Aeronautica SC was formed in 1972 for development of light helicopters and suitable engines. Señor Cicaré is well known world-wide for his development of eleven helicopter designs. His biographical sketch is on several Websites - a useful one that emphasizes his helicopters can be found here. The Cicaré CH-7 Kompress helicopter is produced in kit form by Helisport of Italy and is marketed in the USA by Lancair.
