Compagnia Nazionale Aeronautica of Rome, Italy was established in 1920 by Count Giovanni Bonmartini with a group of WWI pilots. They operated a flying school from 1921-1928, and then built Littorio airport in Rome, where they continued instruction and built experimental C.N.A. airplanes and C.N.A. engines of various types. In the 1930s they began to build HOAE for light aircraft.
